1. Who we are

Consciousness APGPS (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Powell-Clark Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11769621), registered office 274 Victoria Park Road, London, England, E9 7BT. Contact: emmanuel@powellclark.com. Our dashboard is accessible at ap.consciousness.london.

2. What we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:

  • Account information: name, email address, hashed password, and — for users who sign in with GitHub or Google — OAuth provider tokens stored by our authentication library
  • Usage data: sessions, tasks, and agent telemetry you send via the CLI or API
  • Billing information: payment processing is handled by Stripe, who store card details on your behalf. For users who pay with cryptocurrency, we store invoice records (coin type, receive address, amount, and status) in our own database.

3. Sync encryption

Consciousness supports an optional application-layer encryption wrapper for sync payloads, in addition to HTTPS transport. When the CLI is configured to encrypt, data is wrapped client-side with a NaCl secretbox key before transmission, but the decryption key is sent to us in the same request so that we can process your data — the server decrypts the payload and stores it in plaintext, exactly as it does when encryption is not enabled. This gives no confidentiality against us: we can and do read your synced data in the course of operating the service, whether or not this option is enabled. Its only practical effect is that a system which happened to capture the request body but not its headers would record ciphertext rather than plaintext there. This is not end-to-end or zero-knowledge encryption.

4. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the Consciousness APGPS service
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues

We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Data retention

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion, your account and billing data is removed within 30 days. Your session and project telemetry data is also removed within 30 days of account deletion.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@consciousness.london.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
